Change in Scope

Any changes in a certificate issued do not lead to the extension of the certificate validity period.

The scope of certification can be changed under the certificate holder’s relevant application. In this application the certificate holder indicates all changes to be made in the scope of certification. These changes may relate to:

• Changes of the certificate holder’s name, legal form and address and / or;
• Changes in the scope of certification.

If changes declared by the certificate holder are insignificant, FC enters the relevant information to the certificate itself and the FSC database without any additional audit. If changes are significant, FC will assess the certificate holder within the framework of the scheduled or unscheduled audit.

The additional audit has as its object at least changes declared by the certificate holder (e.g. new FMUs in forest management or production sites in the chain of custody).
